9. Summary of results#

The code_aster operator aimed at post-processing the rate of energy restoration in fracture mechanics used in this test case gives good results.

Out of the 6 models, the maximum relative difference encountered is :math:`mathrm{4,16}`% for the C model.

Notes:

The coefficient values \({K}_{I}\) and \({K}_{\mathit{II}}\) obtained are excellent in the case where the sliding modules are equal, and when the branch lengths are equal.

In all cases treated, the integration rings for the calculation of \(G\) and \(K\) , are confined to a single material. As there is doubt about the accuracy of the reference results, we must refer to the original publication of ISIDA NOGHUCHI before making a final judgment on the precision of the results obtained by finite elements.
