7. E modeling#

7.1. Characteristics of modeling#

The beam is meshed in massive quadratic elements HEXA20.

The beam is embedded at the level of section \(\mathrm{surf1}\). It is subjected to a unit shear force which is modelled by a linear load density \(\mathrm{fz}\) applying to the 4 SEG3 cells constituting the upper edge \(\mathrm{L2}\).

7.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

The beam is meshed with 640 massive quadratic HEXA20 elements.

The model has 3665 knots.

7.3. Tested sizes and results#

We test the value of the arrow according to \(z\) of the middle node of the section where we are applying the load (node \(\mathrm{N62}\)).
