2. Benchmark solution

2.1. Calculation method used for the reference solution

The reference solution is the one given in sheet SDLX03 /89 of guide VPCS.

The reference solution was obtained by experimental study of the frequencies and natural modes of the free structure on a model made with welded sheets.

The structure suspended by flexible connections is set into vibration by an electrodynamic exciter. The natural frequencies are recorded using an accelerometer.

In addition, numerical simulations, carried out by various calculation codes, made it possible to establish « reference results » for finite element models.

6 first non-zero natural frequencies.

Less than \(\text{4\%}\).
