1. Reference problem#
1.1. Geometry#

1.2. Material properties#
Young’s module: \(E=2.1{10}^{11}N/{m}^{2}\)
Poisson’s ratio: \(\nu =0.3\)
Density: \(\rho =7800.\mathrm{kg}/{m}^{3}\)
1.3. Boundary conditions and loads#
A horizontal displacement \({u}_{x}=0.0\) is imposed on the face \(\mathrm{surf1}\).
A \({u}_{y}=0.0\) displacement is imposed on the nodes located on the central line of the upper face and on the central line of the lower face.
A \({u}_{z}=0.0\) displacement is imposed on the nodes that are located on the central lines of the lateral faces.
A surface force \({F}_{B}\) is applied to the face \(\mathrm{surf2}\) in the direction \(x\),
\({F}_{B}=1000.N/{m}^{2}\),
These boundary conditions make it possible to obtain a behavior of the beam under simple tension.
