v2.04.120 SDLV120 - Absorption of a compression wave in an elastic bar

Summary

We test the elastic paraxial elements of order 0 intended to apply absorbent conditions at the border of a finite element mesh to simulate infinity in direct transient calculations.

They are used to model an infinite elastic bar, in 3D or 2D, in which a pressure wave is created by imposing a displacement to one of the ends. We are interested in the non-reflection of the wave at the « infinite » end of the bar.

The two direct transient operators of*Code_Aster* are tested successively, namely DYNA_VIBRA and DYNA_NON_LINE.
