5. Summary of results

Through the calculation with the two models, quantitatively, we find the maximum displacement equal to the maximum amplitude of the signal and qualitatively, the return to rest after the wave has passed.

The results obtained with operators DYNA_VIBRA and DYNA_NON_LINE are very similar. The difference comes from obtaining at each time step the state of balance of the efforts of the second member with the operator DYNA_NON_LINE, which explains why its results are a little bit better even with a larger time step. However, this difference is still minimal because the time step used with DYNA_VIBRA is small enough.
