2. Benchmark solution#

2.1. Calculation method#

It involves calculating the response of a plate subjected to harmonic pressure on one side of the plate and embedded on the opposite side.

The reference solution is obtained by performing a transient response calculation with the operator DYNA_VIBRA using the Newmark integration diagram with the parameters \(\mathit{alpha}\mathrm{=}0.25\) and \(\mathit{delta}\mathrm{=}0.5\).

2.2. Reference quantities and results#

It is proposed to test the following quantities:

  • Move next \(x\) to coordinate point \((0.0816,0.165)\)

  • Stress and deformation at the Gauss point of a cell containing the coordinate node \((0.3383,0.39)\)

  • Stress and deformation at coordinate node \((0.3383,0.39)\)

2.3. Uncertainties about the solution#

The regime is considered to be established after 90 periods. The reference values used are those recorded over the 98th and 99th periods of the transitory response.
