v2.02.006 SDLL06 - Transient response of a recessed freestanding pole

Summary

In this test case, the transient response of an undamped free-embedded beam is analyzed, modelled by a mass-spring system and subjected to any dynamic loading.

We test the discrete element in bending, the calculation of the natural modes by the Lanczos method and the calculation of the transient response by modal recombination of the structure subjected either to an accelerogram (modeling A) or to an equivalent imposed force (modeling B).

The Euler schema is used.

The results obtained are in good agreement with the reference results (analytical results).
