3. Modeling A#

3.1. Characteristics of modeling#

The elements are modeled by discrete elements with 6 degrees of freedom DIS_TR.

The node \(\mathrm{NO1}\) is subject to an imposed acceleration \(\gamma (t)\). The relative displacement of node \(\mathrm{NO2}\) with respect to the displacement of node \(\mathrm{NO1}\) is calculated and compared to the displacement calculated analytically.

The time integration is carried out with the Euler algorithm (time step: \(5.{10}^{-4}s\)).

3.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

The mesh consists of 2 nodes and a discrete element (DIS_TR).

3.3. Tested sizes and results#

Relative displacement of node NO1 (in meters).
