8. F modeling: method SIMPLEXE#

8.1. Characteristics of modeling#

An auxiliary grid is not used. We’re going to test option TORE. The radius of the cylinder (\(4\mathrm{mm}\)) coincides with that of the torus.

The same mesh as that of modeling A. is used.

We test that the maximum and minimum values of the difference field are equal to zero.

The option TORE therefore correctly calculates the group of nodes that belong to the given radius torus built around the bottom of the crack.
