u2.06.11 Analysis of the seismic behavior of large metal reservoirs#
Summary:
The objective of this document is to describe the various steps to be implemented in Code_Aster to perform the numerical simulation of the earthquake resistance of large metal reservoirs. These thin metal structures can then present two preferred methods of failure: breakage of the anchors or buckling of the shells.
The first approach is based on a push-over regulatory method. In addition, it is possible to use a nonlinear stability criterion (cf. documentation [U2.08.04] and test cases SSLL105 and SSNL126).
The second approach is direct transient modeling with full consideration of the fluid domain through a coupled fluid-structure approach in large displacements (modeling similar to that of test case FDNV100). This transitory analysis can also be combined with a non-linear stability analysis, as test case FDNV100 also shows.
