8. Conclusions

This document brings together the information elements available on the X- FEM method in*Code_Aster*. The limits and possibilities of X- FEM are recalled, and examples of implementation in a case without and then with contact are presented.

In the future, this document will be supplemented by:

• the use of error indicators for X- FEM,

• post-processing of contact terms on the visualization model.
