1. Presentation#

1.1. General framework#

Salomé is the EDF R&D pre-post processing and code coupling platform. It is organized around modules that provide different services (see Figure 1.1-a). So:

  1. geometry generation services are provided by module GEOM;

  2. the mesh services are provided by module SMESH;

  3. post-treatment services are provided by module VISU;

  4. code coupling services are provided by module YACS.

In the same way, the integration of the Europlexus mechanical resolution code into Salomé involves a module: module EUROPLEXUS from Salome-Meca. The purpose of this document is to present its functionalities.

1.2. The module EUROPLEXUS#

When the user clicks on the icon representing the Salome-Meca Europlexus module, these specific icons appear in the graphical interface (Figure 1.2-a).

  1. Study manager: this is a study manager for calculation cases with only a command file and a mesh file as input.

  2. Definition of solvers this is the definition of servers and executables of the Europlexus code.

These features are available:

  1. through the menu;

  2. by the icons that represent them;

  3. by context menu: when created, objects associated with the Europlexus module appear in Salome’s object tree. By selecting these objects and, by right-clicking, a particular menu dedicated to the nature of the selected object is displayed.

In the following, these various functionalities will be detailed.
