r7.01.08 MAZARS damage model#
Summary:
This documentation presents the MAZARS behavior model that allows to describe the elastic-damaging behavior of concrete. This model is 3D, isotropic and is based on a damage criterion written in deformation and describing traction-compression asymmetry. The initial model does not account for the restoration of stiffness in the event of « reclosing cracks » and does not take into account the possible plastic deformations or viscous effects that may be observed during the deformations of a concrete. The version implemented in Code_Aster takes into account the latest improvements. This reformulation of the Mazars model from the 1980s makes it possible to better describe the behavior of concrete under bi-compression and in pure shear.
Version \(\mathrm{1D}\) of the model makes it possible to report on the restoration of stiffness in the event of cracks being closed; it is only used with multifibre beams [R5.03.09].
