4. Restricting relationships to certain components

4.1. Components on slave nodes

To restrict the components on the slave nodes to the desired components, only the rows of matrices \({S}_{i}\) corresponding to the desired components are retained (these matrices therefore become rectangular matrices and no longer square matrices).

Matrixes \({W}_{i}\) remain square because rows and columns corresponding to slave degrees of freedom not involved in the linear relationship are removed.

4.2. Components on the master node

To restrict the components on the master node to the desired components, only the rows in the \({B}_{i}\) matrices corresponding to the desired components are kept.
