v8.21.312 ADLV312 — Flexible cylindrical tank filled with water

Summary:

This test concerns the modal analysis of a tank filled with water. The fluid volume has a free surface. The reservoir is modelled by plate DKT elements and the fluid by 3D vibro-acoustic elements.

It is a question of calculating hydro-elastic natural modes; we are not particularly interested in sloshing modes whose deformation energy is low compared to that of hydro-elastic modes.

In order to improve the identification of these modes, the generalized masses are calculated after having imposed the norm on a given degree of freedom.

The reference values of the natural frequencies are obtained numerically from 3D and Fourier models in the software SAMCEF.
