4. B modeling#

4.1. Characteristics of modeling#

In order to verify that the results are independent of the orientation of the discontinuity (given by the Euler angles defined in AFFE_CARA_ELEM), the \(A\) model is repeated with a rotation of \(\alpha =-90°\). The direct reference frame defined by the normal and the tangent to the crack is then identical to the global coordinate system. So the Euler angle is equal to zero.
