v7.32.123 WTN123 - Appearance/disappearance of phase in a two-phase flow: Injection of gas around a gallery in a saturated domain#

Summary:

This test represents the simulation of gas injection into a geological environment. The aim is to model and simulate the appearance and evolution of a two-phase water/hydrogen flow in a porous medium initially saturated with pure water. We consider a \(\mathrm{2D}\) situation where the effects of gravity are overlooked.

It is a purely hydraulic miscible calculation. The geometry shown corresponds to a square domain from which an area has been removed. The transfer terms are described by a model by Mualem Van-Genuchten. The problem is treated by the various schemes available for modeling two-phase flows: classical finite elements and Decentralized Edge Finite Volumes.

This test case is an extension in \(\mathrm{2D}\) of the WTNP120 test case.
