8. Summary of results

This test case makes it possible to test the finite volume diagrams in different configurations on a gas flow model:

• the off-centered edge finite volumes diagram;

• on different types of meshes (triangles and rectangles).

These same cases are also carried out with conventional finite element schemes. All the results are very close to the analytical solution.

From a performance point of view, the use of the off-center edge diagram will be recommended.
