v7.31.144 WTNV144 - Consolidation of a saturated and fractured poroelastic soil column: using the XFEM method#
Summary:
This is a validation test to ensure the correct functioning of the extended finite element method in the case of the HM coupling model in a fractured saturated medium.
The aim of this validation test is to test the correct consideration of the discontinuity of the pressure field in the massif on either side of the fracture as well as the hydromechanical behavior of the HM- XFEM elements.
The aim is to impose two different loads on each side of the fracture at the top of a soil column and to observe the evolution of the pore pressure in each part. This test is similar to the wtnl100 validation case with the only difference that we introduce into the modeling a fracture (interface type) treated by the XFEM approach. The results are then compared to the analytical solution of the wtnl100 validation case.
