3. Modeling A#

3.1. Characteristics of modeling#

A modeling is*tridimensional* and*quasistatic*. We use modeling with selective integration (MODELISATION = “HMS”).

3.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

The mesh used is composed of 11 HEXA20, i.e. one element for each layer of the soil column (10 elements), and the rock on which the soil column rests.

3.3. Tested sizes and results#

The settlement is calculated at the top of each layer and compared to given solutions GEFDYN:
