1.2. Material properties#

The values used for the sixteen parameters of the Barcelona model are given in v7.31.126-parametres_barcelone.

The properties of fluids (dry gas and liquid water) and of diffusion within the solid skeleton, necessary to solve the coupled calculation LIQU_GAZ, are presented in Section 1.3.

1.3. Boundary conditions and loads#

The gas pressure remains constant equal to \(\mathrm{PRE2}={1}\) Pa. In the first loading phase, desaturation is carried out, during which the capillary pressure decreases to zero since \(\mathrm{PRE1}={100}\) kPa. In the second phase, isotropic compression is carried out, until the average stress \(\sigma_m=-400\) kPa is reached. In the third and final phase, while maintaining the mean stress, the capillary pressure is increased to \(\mathrm{PRE1}={300}\) kPa.
