6. Summary of results

This test compares the solutions obtained with three types of modeling to an analytical solution in the case of a reinforced concrete plate subjected to thermal loading.

• Shell model: DKT + GRILLE_EXCENTREE

• Solid model: Volumic + GRILLE_MEMBRANE

• Solid model: Volumic + MEMBRANE

The results of the comparisons indicate a negligible difference between the results. A single finite element is sufficient to find the analytical solution in the case DKT + GRILLE_EXCENTREE.

In volume cases with GRILLE_MEMBRANE or MEMBRANE, the error is less than \(1\text{\%}\) for a sufficiently fine mesh (26 elements in the length).
