2.1. Calculation method used for the reference solution

Comparison of results with the CETIM CASTOR -SD finite element software.

The CASTOR element used is an 8-node isoparametric shell element, based on Ahmad’s formulation. It is a degenerate three-dimensional element, whose field of application is that of thick shells.

2.2. Benchmark results

• Displacement and constraints at points \(E,F,G\) for each harmonic.

• Movement and constraints at points \(E,F,G\) for total loading.
