4. B modeling#
4.1. Characteristics of modeling#
Modeling is COQUE_3D.
The model consists of:
662 elements,
2267 knots,
of which:
462 triangles with 7 knots,
200 quadrilaterals with 9 knots.
Edges \(\mathrm{AB}\), \(\mathrm{BC}\), \(\mathrm{CD}\), and \(\mathrm{DA}\) are embedded.
The plate is subjected to a temperature gradient of \(100°C\) in thickness. This gradient is uniform across the plate.
4.2. Tested sizes and results#
We’re testing moments \(\mathrm{MXX}\) and \(\mathrm{MYY}\). These values are given in the coordinate system local to the plate, chosen parallel to the sides.
So we have: \(\mathrm{MXX}=\mathrm{MYY}=M=–\mathrm{2,38095}{10}^{3}N\) as the moment is uniform in the plate, all we have to do is test the maximum and minimum values of the moments and check that they are both equal to \(M\):
