v7.02.310 HPLP310 — Biblio_35 Internal radial crack in a thick cylinder under pressure and thermal loading#
Summary:
This test is the result of the independent validation of version 3 in fracture mechanics.
This is a two-dimensional static test in which the contact nonlinearity due to the partial reclosing of the crack is modelled.
The behavior of the structure is isotropic linear thermoelastic.
The test case includes two \(\mathrm{2D}\) plane models for which the influence of the mechanical load factor \(\alpha\) is studied. In the first modeling a contact with an infinitely rigid material is used to represent the reclosing (symmetric) of the crack while in the second a boundary condition such as a unilateral bond is implemented.
