4. B modeling#

4.1. Characteristics of modeling#

There are 3 crowns defined for order CALC_G (with \(h=\mathrm{0,625}\mathit{mm}\)):

Crown 1:

\(\mathit{Rinf}=2h\)

\(\text{Rsup}=5h\)

Crown 2:

\(\mathit{Rinf}=h\)

\(\text{Rsup}=3h\)

Crown 3:

\(\mathit{Rinf}=3h\)

\(\text{Rsup}=6h\)

The crack bottom is defined by DEFI_FOND_FISS, and for each crown we perform: a classical \(G\) calculation (option G of CALC_G).

4.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

Number of knots: 2679

Number of meshes and types: 644 TRIA6 meshes and 424 QUAD8 meshes

4.3. Test values and B modeling results#

The values tested are those of \(G\) obtained by the classical method and those of \({G}_{\mathrm{IRWIN}}\) obtained by the formula d’IRWIN from the stress intensity coefficients:
