3.1. Characteristics of modeling#

Each elementary cycle (a traction-compression for a given twist) is discretized in 48 steps. To perform a complete turn on the previous diagram you need \(360\mathrm{/}15\mathrm{=}24\) elementary cycles.

We complete 4 full laps in total, for a total of \(48\mathrm{\times }24\mathrm{\times }4\mathrm{=}4608\) time steps.
