v6.02.126 SSNL126 - Elastoplastic buckling of a straight beam#
Summary:
A slender straight girder with a circular cross section is subjected to a compressive force at one end, and is embedded at the other end. The behavior of the material is elastoplastic, with linear isotropic work hardening. During the increase in load, the critical loads for elastic and then plastic buckling are calculated.
Two models make it possible to test the buckling criterion in elastoplasticity:
Modeling A: volume mesh, small deformations and small displacements.
B modeling: volume mesh, small deformations and large displacements (GREEN).
