1. General characteristics#

1.1. Geometry#

Console beam of unit length, square section on unit side.

1.2. Material properties#

Young’s modulus of concrete: \(E\mathrm{=}\mathrm{3,7272}{10}^{10}\mathit{Pa}\)

Tensile strength of concrete: \({F}_{\mathit{tj}}=4.{10}^{6}\mathit{Pa}\)

Compressive strength of concrete: \({F}_{\mathit{cj}}=40.{10}^{6}\mathit{Pa}\)

1.3. Boundary conditions#

Embedding in \(A\): \(\mathit{dx}\mathrm{=}\mathit{dy}\mathrm{=}\mathit{dz}\mathrm{=}0\) and \(\mathit{drx}\mathrm{=}\mathit{dry}\mathrm{=}\mathit{drz}\mathrm{=}0\).

1.4. Loads#

The axial deformation is increased and decreased by imposing a displacement in \(B\) in the \(x\) direction. Two functions are defined, the first stresses the material in tension and then in compression, the second stresses the material in cyclic loading.
