5. Summary of results

The results show that the solution of the heavy cable problem can be obtained with good precision for the cable elements (\(\text{0.02\%}\)), and an acceptable precision for the elements POU_D_T_GD (\(\text{0.4\%}\)).

Indeed, this mechanical problem is difficult for the resolution algorithm, because the solution can only be obtained with the hypothesis of large displacements. Convergence can only be achieved with the geometric rigidity matrix.
