11.1. Characteristics of modeling#

3D discretization of the beam with element HEXA8. The beam-wall contact is modelled by DEFI_CONTACT with the GCP method.

The initial conditions and the boundary conditions are imposed through groups of nodes:

PAROI	(embedding the lower nodes of the contact element)
PLANSYMX	(symmetry conditions according to \(x\))
PLANSYMY	(symmetry conditions according to \(y\))
NOBARRE	(initial movements and speeds).
