v5.01.100 SDND100 - Releasing a friction pad with Coulomb friction#

Summary

We consider the unidirectional system with a degree of freedom consisting of a mass in contact with friction of the Coulomb type on a rigid plane, and a spring attaching it to a fixed point. The mass is released into an initial position out of balance. It oscillates until it stops completely after a finite amount of time.

The first two models correspond to the transient response by modal recombination of the friction pad, the third corresponds to its direct transient response. The three calculations are compared to the analytical solution.

The A, B, C, D models use the DIS_CHOC behavior. E modeling uses behavior DIS_CONTACT.
