5. Summary of results#
Both models give results where some values exceed the tolerance set initially (1%):
for modeling A (PLAN with QUAD8 meshes), the maximum difference is 1.19% (exceeded for a single value out of the 13 tested),
for B modeling (3D with HEXA8 cells), the maximum difference is 2.7% (exceeded for two values out of 26 tested).
The modeling of the geometric singularity (presence of a significant thermal gradient near the singularity) is best represented with quadratic elements (modeling A).
For both models, the precision should be improved by using a finer mesh (greater refinement in the area of the geometric singularity).
The results are considered to be acceptable taking into account the models carried out.
