7. Summary of results

Displacement: regardless of the type of mesh used (TRIA3, QUAD4), the results obtained for the 4 models (DKT, DST, Q4G and COQUE_3D) are satisfactory. With respect to the analytical solution, a maximum difference of 5% is observed.

Constraints:

• DKT, DST and Q4G models: regardless of the type of mesh used (TRIA3, QUAD4), the results obtained are correct. With respect to the analytical solution, a maximum difference of 12% is observed. These models use faceted elements, by refining the mesh we should obtain better results.

• Modeling COQUE_3D: the QUAD9 mesh gives very good results, the difference observed is 0.1%. On the other hand, the difference is significant (46%) for the TRIA7 mesh.
