2. Benchmark solution

2.1. Calculation method

The PROPA_FISS mesh method (\(A\) modeling) is used to calculate the position of the crack after four propagations.

With each call of PROPA_FISS the advance of the crack is imposed equal to \(2\mathrm{mm}\).

2.2. Reference quantities and results

After four propagations, the position of the bottom of the crack calculated by the mesh method is as follows:
