v2.05.301 SDLX301 - Building with asymmetric floor-columns subjected to horizontal excitation#

Summary:

This is a three-dimensional study of a building with 3 floors on 9 columns, embedded at the base of the columns, with eccentric mass, subjected to horizontal seismic excitation while moving. The eccentric distribution of floor masses makes it possible to break the symmetry, to couple the main geometric directions and to generate a torsional effect. The reference values are obtained with the code CASTEM2000 and SAMCEF, which have slightly different methods.

The columns are modelled by beams, and the floors by planar shell elements. The first eight eigenmodes are retained for modal recombination calculations. Objective: to test the movements, the internal forces, and the reactions to the embedding of a column for modal recombinations CQC, SRSS, DSC. Precision of the results: comparison between codes. Strong tolerances are allowed for certain calculated fields whose values are several orders of magnitude lower.
