2. Reference solutions#

2.1. Calculation method used for reference solutions#

The calculations taken for reference are carried out with the codes CASTEM 2000 and SAMCEF. The reference solution is not given by the results of [bib1] because this reference lacked certain geometric and material characteristics to redo the model of the structure studied identically. Some data used in this test case are therefore different from those in the [bib1] report, which does not allow a comparison of the results.

2.2. Benchmark results#

  • Frequencies calculated with CASTEM 2000 and SAMCEF,

  • Displacement response spectrum for \(\xi =5\text{\%}\) damping,

  • Displacements by modal recombination CQC, SRSS, DSC for column B (calculated taking into account the first 8 modes — essentially twisting the building and flexing the columns, but the floors are slightly bent),

  • Dynamics and the pseudo-fashion for static correction,

  • Efforts to integrate column B and central column \(E\),

  • Inner forces along column \(B\).

2.3. Uncertainty about the solution#
