2. Benchmark solution#

2.1. Calculation method used for the reference solution#

The reference results are the soil impedances obtained from the incident displacement fields and induced stresses calculated by the MISS3D software at various depth levels of a laminate floor. The incident field at the ground surface is considered unitary in each direction of space and for any frequency of stress. The variation of this field in soil depth, or deconvolution, is obtained from Green functions. These functions constitute a base of elementary solutions, representing the response, at various receptor levels, to unit requests at various ground source levels [bib1].

2.2. Benchmark results#

The inverse transfer functions of the impedances obtained by the chaining between Code_Aster and MISS3D are compared to those obtained by the other calculation method, using an exclusive modeling by Code_Aster, where the condition of an infinite medium is represented by absorbent elements assigned to the boundaries of a large volume of homogeneous soil surrounding the foundation.

It is also possible to compare the impedance values for each of the 6 rigid body directions obtained by inverting the previous transfer functions to those given by the reference [bib2] synthesizing several numerical or semi-analytical studies carried out by various authors.
