3. Modeling A#

3.1. Characteristics of modeling#

The characteristics used and the mesh are those deduced from the data in paragraph [1]. In order to speed up the test, we will only calculate two frequencies: 7.3 Hz and 10.4 Hz. The seismic impedances and forces calculated on the aster5 reference server are used, these data are therefore provided as input to the test and the call to CALC_MISS that was used to calculate them is therefore commented on.

3.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

The mesh provided to*Aster* contains SEG2 meshes to model the building structure with beam elements and QUAD4, TRIA3 meshes to model the foundation with DKT elements. It is important to have oriented the surface elements of the foundation with normal entering the ground. The lateral wall meshes representing the depression are generated by the same vertical generator as required by MISS3D.

3.3. Tested sizes and results#

The values tested are the module in \(\mu m\) of the maximum direct response at the top of the excited building (point \(\mathit{A1}\)) and the module in \(\mu m\) of the maximum response coupled to the top of the neighboring building (point \(\mathit{B1}\)).
