v2.04.134 SDLV134 - Cyclic substructuring: Cantilever beam — presence of free knots on the axis#
Summary:
The field of application of this test concerns the dynamics of structures, and more particularly the modal calculation by cyclic dynamic substructuring.
It is a question of calculating the natural modes of an axisymmetric structure (girder with a circular cross section, embedded at its base) by considering it as a structure with cyclic repeatability.
The model consists of an angular \(\text{60°}\) sector of the beam, meshed in hexahedral solid elements to which 3D elements are assigned. Only the Craig-Bampton cyclical dynamic substructuring method is tested. The McNeal method, as implemented, does not make it possible to take into account free nodes on the axis.
The correct execution of the calculation is verified by studying the relative displacements of the coincident nodes of the skeleton on which the complete result is returned.
