7. Summary of results

Modeling DKT is not suitable for modeling this test case, the errors are very important. Formulation DKT does not take into account transverse shear unlike modeling DST. For this type of example, where the structure is made of a composite material and is relatively thick (\(h/L=0.1\)), it is preferable to use DST modeling.

The results obtained with DST are:

• satisfactory for the first 3 frequencies with mesh TRIA3 and for the first 5 frequencies for mesh QUAD4 with better precision for mesh QUAD4,

• the error of \(\text{10\%}\) for the 4th and 5th frequency with the TRIA3 mesh is significant. A finer mesh should make it possible to improve results by having a better representation of the latest modes.
