7. E modeling#

7.1. Characteristics of modeling#

Modeling E is used to test the effectiveness of layer CALM by adding an absorbent border in parallel on the edge DE to impose the plane wave \(v_{impo}\) in the direction \(-X\) (v2.03.201-Geom1). To do this, it is necessary to avoid creating a double contrast created by the CALM layer and the absorbent border. Since we want to use the absorbent border exclusively to introduce plane wave loading, a reduction coefficient will be applied to the elastic characteristics of the border which will then be re-applied to the time signal.

7.2. Tested sizes and results#

On this modeling, we will perform a non-regression test on the peak value of the DX displacement at time \(t = 2.598\) s.
