3. B modeling#
3.1. Geometry and meshing#
The geometry and the mesh are the same as in modeling A.
3.2. Material properties#
For modeling B, damping is introduced using the Rayleigh coefficients defined in section 1.2.
3.3. Tested sizes and results#
In this test, for the natural modes 2 and 3 of the assembly, we compare the phase difference between the real and imaginary parts of the movements of the three nodes represented by green dots in FIG. 1.1-1. We test the value of the ratio of the imaginary and real parts of the displacement. The results are summarised in table 3.3-1
