Summary:

The objective of this test is to validate the calculation of the harmonic response of a structure comprising both standard elastic materials and viscoelastic materials whose properties depend on frequency.

Three models are carried out:

• Modeling A: direct calculation on a physical basis, by calculating the assembled matrices frequency by frequency; this modeling serves as a reference;

• B modeling: preliminary calculation of real eigenmodes, then harmonic calculation on a modal basis;

• C modeling: prior calculation of improved real eigenmodes (« beta-modes »), then harmonic calculation on a modal basis.
