Summary:
The objective of this test case is to test the calculation of the natural modes of a square plate with static condensation of matrices assembled on the internal degrees of freedom and the reproduction on a physical basis.
The test is carried out with a DKT model, in which only one node is left free. A unit load is applied to this node.
In a first part, we test the construction of a modal base obtained from the assembly of two dynamic mode bases.
Next, the static mode base is calculated, onto which the mass and stiffness matrices are projected. The natural modes are then calculated on this basis. The results are returned to the physical database.
The last step consists in carrying out a harmonic calculation on the reduced basis of static modes. The results are also presented on a physical basis.
