Summary:
This test makes it possible to validate the calculation of the rotation modes of a system of shafts at rest or rotating with a rotor with a variable cross section.
In this test, we have a rotor model with a variable circular cross section based on two disk bearings whose stiffness and damping matrices are symmetric. This example is taken from the validation file for code CADYRO 2.0 [bib1], a finite element software program designed to predict the dynamic behavior of rotors.
