v2.02.015 SDLL15 - Slender, free-embedded beam with eccentric mass or inertia#

Summary:

This three-dimensional problem consists in calculating the frequencies and modes of vibration of a mechanical structure composed of a slender, free-embedded straight beam with a tubular section and an eccentric mass attached to the free end of the beam. This Structural Mechanics test corresponds to a dynamic analysis of a linear model with linear behavior. It includes a single model.

This problem makes it possible to test the Euler Bernouilli beam element, the point mass model and the modal calculation using the Lanczos method.

The results obtained are in good agreement with those of guide VPCS. The two calculations performed (eccentricity of the point mass zero or different from zero) make it possible to highlight the coupling of the different modes when the point mass is eccentric.
