This problem corresponds to a transitory analysis by modal recombination of a discrete linear system consisting of 8 degrees of freedom. This system has non‑proportional damping. A slot-type transient force is applied in 1 degree of freedom.
In this problem, elements DISCRET with modal masses (M_T_D_N), stiffness matrices (K_T_D_L) and damping matrices (A_T_D_L) are tested in a model.
The problem has a reference solution proposed by the VPCS commission. The differences with*Code_Aster* do not exceed 1.8%.
