6. D modeling#

6.1. Characteristics of modeling#

The D modeling uses a behavior model for the linear dam, the calculation being carried out from the operator DYNA_VIBRA on a physical and temporal basis, with an undamped Newmark temporal integration scheme (\(\mathrm{\beta }=\mathrm{0,25}\) and \(\mathrm{\gamma }=\mathrm{0,5}\)) and a modal damping reduced by 0.01%.

For modeling D, we use the definition of the circle from the keywords RAYON, CENTRE_X and CENTRE_Y with the same parameters as modeling A.

We test the verification of the mass estimate using the keyword VERI_MASSE.

6.2. Tested sizes and results#

The value of the irreversible displacement is tested at various times estimated by the Newmark method.

The reference results are obtained for a mesh that is 2x more refined than the original mesh. Mass verification makes it possible to approach the response of the 2x more refined mesh with a lower tolerance.
